Camembert

Camembert is a moist, soft, creamy, surface-ripened cow’s milk cheese.  It was first made in the late 18th century at Camembert, Normandy, in Northern France.

The variety named Camembert de Normandie was granted a Protected Designation of Origin in 1992.  This Camembert can only be made from raw, unpasteurised milk from Normandes cows.
